FAQ

In order for the design experience to be enjoyable and successful for both parties communication and transparency are necessary. Here are answers to most commonly asked questions. Please contact me if there are any questions that you do not see answered.

  • How much does it cost for you to build a website?

    • Web design services start at $400. Each website is different so in order for me to understand the value of your site I need to know what your needs for your site are. Once the need for the website is understood an itemized break down of the cost will emailed.

  • I have an existing site but I want the content updated how much for this service?

    • Help with an existing website/website re-design starts at $250 dollars. This service is ideal for people who have all of the puzzle pieces (the domain, hosting, and template) but need help assembling.

  • How long does it take to complete the site?

    • The website will take 4-6 weeks to complete given that all deadlines are met. I am not responsible if this time frame gets off track due to missed deadlines on the clients behalf. However, I do understand that life happens. Please communicate in a timely fashion and I will try my best to work with you.

  • Can I use cellphone pictures for my content?

    • I highly advise against cellphone pictures. Although, they look great on the phone once they are on a web browser they tend to lose their quality. A professional photographer proves to be a worthwhile investment and makes all the difference on the quality of the site. If you absolutely must use a piece of content from a cellphone picture I offer retouching services. Remember, a picture is 1,000 words. How would you like your pictures to speak for you?

  • Do you provide content?

    • I am solely responsible for the design of the site and not the content. If you are interested in content creation I am happy to refer you to a professional content creator.

    • How many revisions do I get?

      • 2 revisions are included with your website. Generally speaking most people don't need beyond two revisions. If you happen to need more revisions this is an additional services.

  •  I already have a domain name. It is possible to keep it?

    • Yes! If you already have a domain name you can keep it.

  • If I book today, how much do I pay?

    • 50% is due upfront which locks in your design date, and 50% is due upon completion.

  • What happens after I book?

    • After you book you will receive a confirmation email with new client materials. This is where the fun begins!

  • I'm not sure how many pages my site will need, can you help me out?

    • Absolutely! We will discuss any and every question you have in your consultation.

 

Communication

  • Once the project starts how will we keep in touch?

    • All communication will be done by e-mail. This is the best way to keep everything in one place and organized.

  • When will you start working on my site?

    • The process begins when all content is provided, the agreement is signed and the deposit is paid.

  • How should I send you my content?

    • Google docs or DropBox are the way to submit content. This ensures that all content is organized and can be handed off to you once the project is done. If you need help setting up a DropBox account or google docs account I'll be happy to help!

  • I have another question that isn't listed. How can I contact you?

    • Drop me a line below and I will get back with you within 24 hours or less.
